Privacy policy

Effective 7 September 2026

aJETic provides an AI assistant that answers calls, texts and web chats for small businesses. This policy covers two different groups of people, and the difference matters.

Who this covers

  • Our customers — the businesses that use aJETic, and their staff.
  • Their customers — people who call, text or chat with one of those businesses. If that is you: the business you contacted controls your information, and aJETic processes it on their behalf. Requests about your data can go to either of us; we will pass them on.

What we collect

From a business that signs up:

  • Business name, industry, service area, hours, services and pricing
  • Contact details for the account and for staff who sign in
  • The instructions they write for their assistant
  • Billing details — held by Stripe, not by us

From someone contacting one of those businesses:

  • Your phone number, and your name and email if you give them
  • The content of your texts, web chats and the fact and time of your calls
  • What you enquired about, so the business can follow it up

We do not buy contact lists, and we do not send cold messages to anyone who has not contacted a business first.

Automated processing

Messages are processed by large language models to produce a reply. Those models are operated by OpenAI and Anthropic, who process the message content to generate a response. Voice features use ElevenLabs. The assistant identifies itself as automated, and a person at the business can take over any conversation at any point.

Who else processes it

  • Supabase — database and authentication
  • Vercel — hosting
  • Twilio — calls and text messages
  • Stripe — payments; card details never reach us
  • Resend — transactional email
  • OpenAI, Anthropic, ElevenLabs — as above

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

One business never sees another's customers

Every record is scoped to the business it belongs to and access is enforced at the database level, not only in the application. Where aJETic learns from conversations to improve the service generally, it does so from de-identified, aggregated patterns — never from one business's customer content shown to another.

How long it is kept

Conversations and lead records are kept for as long as the business remains a customer, so that they have the history of their own customers. Business account records are kept while the account is open. A business can ask for its data to be exported or deleted; deletion removes the conversations belonging to it.

Your choices

  • Text messages — reply STOP to stop them at any time. See the messaging terms.
  • Access, correction and deletion — write to us at the address below. If you contacted one of our customers rather than us, tell us which business and we will route it to them.

Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including access, correction, deletion and portability, and the right to appeal a refusal.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our infrastructure providers. Access to customer data is limited to the aJETic staff who need it. Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes by our authentication provider — we cannot read yours.

Children

The service is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date above and notify account holders.
